One crucial question remains at the forefront of public policy discussions about education: How can we ensure every child receives the highest quality education possible? Whereas public schools remain the traditional bedrock of our education system, we must examine how much money we spend on government-run public schools.
Representing the public education establishment, taxpayer-funded lobbyists lurk in the Capitol during budget time. So far this budget season, many Democrats seem ready to blindly fork it over.
If the fight over education were about providing all students high-quality options, legislators and special interest lobbyists would realize: It’s not the spending, stupid.
