Commonwealth Foundation to Brief on Gov. Shapiro’s Upcoming Budget

Harrisburg, Pa., January 18, 2024 — Commonwealth Foundation’s budget expert Nathan Benefield will host a media conference call on January 24, 2024, to discuss Gov. Josh Shapiro’s upcoming budget proposal in February. 

Benefield will discuss the governor’s second budget—what to expect, potential challenges and controversies, and how the closely divided state legislature will respond during what he expects to be a contentious election year.

The governor’s budget is expected to deal with critical issues such as education, energy, permitting, health care, unfinished business related to the 2023 budget, and more.
