More Lawyers, Fewer Doctors

Our friends at the Pacific Research Institute have produced a short video series on “Jackpot Justice,” explaining how the civil-justice system has failed to protect good people and good businesses from lawsuit abuse.

The third film, “More Lawyers, Fewer Doctors” focuses on Pennsylvania’s skyrocketing medical malpractice insurance rates, which drive away doctors and hamper people’s access to emergency care.

Lawsuit abuse, which is rewarded in Pennsylvania’s current tort system, is detrimental to the state’s economy, and needs to be swiftly reformed to attract new doctors and businesses to Pennsylvania.
