Electric Choice is Gaining Steam
With the expiration of rate caps in 2010 I've been tracking the entrance of new residential suppliers in the central PA electricity market. These days it's rare to see actual deregulation, but this process is a great example of the power of free markets to improve our quality of life. Thus far 3 companies have offered to supply power to residents, but it looks like another competitor will soon join the ranks. It's likely the number of residential suppliers to continue increasing as we near the December 31st deadline.
