Musical Chairs at Pennnsylvania Turnpike

Governor Rendell has promptly dumped Mitchell Rubin as chairperson of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and replaced him with Michael Pratt of Pepper Hamilton LLP.  Toll Roads News has more on the firing. 

Meanwhile, the Allegheny Institute notes that Pennsylvania’s transportation funding plan continues on the expectation that I-80 will be tolled in a couple of years, despite the federal government’s rejection of that plan.
