If, like me, you thought that the Dept. of Agriculture was a relatively small federal agency (compared to say, Defense or Social Security spending), consider that it encompasses 100,000 employees, a budget of $95 billion, 7,000 offices, 200 subsidy programs, 1,800 pages of laws, and 10,000 pages of regulations.
