School Choice Benefits Ohio Public Schools

A new study from the Friedman Foundation finds that Ohio’s EdChoice voucher program – offering scholarships to students in failing schools – resulted in academic improvements in voucher-eligible public schools.

On the other side of the equation, Jay Greene runs down the studies (random assignment experiments only) of the effects of school choice on participants – 90% of which show positive gains.
