Income tax cuts benefit all payers

USA Today article exposes the rhetoric of “tax cuts for the rich.” They note that middle income taxpayers saw a larger percent reduction in their tax burdern, and that upper income groups are paying a larger share of the total federal income tax in 2004 than in 2000.

What I find most interesting, from the original Tax Foundation report, is that low-income taxpayers (under $25,000) weren’t just getting tax cuts, they were receiving more money from refundable tax credits.
