Judges looking out for us?

A Philadelphia judge sues to reinstate pay raises. As expected the pay raise repeal has already become the target of a lawsuit. The judge in this case claims the repeal of judges pay raise is a violation of the Pennsylvania Constitution. Clearly an example of a public servant looking to protect citizens from a violation of our constitutional rights.

Some may accuse this lawsuit as representing another example of our elected official using their office purely for their own self-interest. Nonesense says I. Certainly he merely wants to uphold the law.

• Maybe this judge also fought to defend us against the unconstitutional “unvouchered expenses” as well.
• Maybe he is fighting for others and declined the pay raise for himself to remove the appearance of impropriety.
• Maybe he has a justifiable reason I just can’t think of.
