Yes, our family shops at the local Wal-Mart from time to time. Although the company’s recent support of raising the minimum wage (even though Wal-Mart’s average starting wage is already nearly double the national minimum of $5.15 an hour), as well as its increased proclivity to seek out and gobble up taxpayer subsidies from state and local governments, suggests that this company is quickly becoming like other big businesses that are part of the big government problem.
