Court says auditor general cannot be made to review Legislature

So much for the Auditor General being the taxpayers’ watchdog!

According to the AP:

“A state court on Monday rejected a lawsuit by a citizen who wanted the
state auditor general to review the Legislature’s finances.

“Neither the state Constitution nor state law authorizes the auditor
general, an officer of the executive branch, to audit the legislative branch,
the Commonwealth Court said in rejecting a lawsuit filed by citizen activist
Gene Stilp.”
