Long-Term Care a Growing Part of State Spending

The Healthcare Economist blog highlights the size and growth of long-term care (LTC) spending. Medicaid spending on long-term care services, including home/community care and traditional nursing homes, has approximately quadrupled in the past twenty years. Indeed, long-term care represents almost half of Pennsylvania's Medicaid spending.

In December, the Commonwealth Foundation will be releasing a new study on the savings Pennsylvania can expect from making reforms to our long-term care program.
