Roger Custer
Vice President of Development
Roger Custer is Vice President of Development at the Commonwealth Foundation.
Roger is a recognized leader in fundraising and nonprofit management, having served at both the Institute for Humane Studies and Young America’s Foundation. In addition, under his leadership as CEO of America’s Future Foundation (AFF) from 2011–2017, AFF’s impact, programs, and budget grew steadily.
Roger is a 2012 graduate of the Koch Associate Program and a 2014 recipient of the William F. Buckley, Jr. Award from the Young Conservatives Coalition. He earned a BA at Ithaca College and an MPA in nonprofit management at George Mason University.
Roger lives in Virginia with his wife and kids, where he also plays clarinet, trains for triathlons, and serves as a deacon at his church.
