The RGGI Offers Nothing to Pennsylvania

The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) is a network of nine surrounding states that have imposed caps on CO2 emissions in a failed attempt to impact climate trends. Joining the RGGI would harm Pennsylvanians while having no impact on climate trends.
Despite this, the Associated Press reports Governor Wolf is urging lawmakers to take the first step and consider joining the RGGI. It's difficult to understand why the administration would want to join RGGI when member states have experienced job losses and increased cost of living, while failing to reduce CO2 emissions or impacting climate trends. Pennsylvania lawmakers should learn from these examples and reject the initiative.
