Gov. Rendell Learned His Lesson

Last year, Gov. Rendell went on a bus tour across Pennsylvania, at taxpayer expense, to lobby for more education spending. Rendell was followed around by Matt Brouillette, who provided some facts about education spending, and has his statements regularly fact-checked by CF staff.

Now Gov. Rendell is again touring the state, at taxpayer expense, to lobby for more education spending. But he has learned from his past mistake. No, he hasn’t corrected any of his mis-statements about education spending and results (indeed he continues to push for a spending increase for school districts while undermining school choice). But his office won’t disclose his appearances in advance, making it impossible for anyone to fact check him. Here are last year’s education fact checks:
