Yaël Ossowski Managing Editor

Yaël Ossowski, Commonwealth Foundation's managing editor, is a writer, editor, consumer advocate, and radio host. 
 
Born in Montréal, Québec, Canada and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Yaël has worked in various causes as both a journalist and activist in Canada, the United States, and Europe.
 
He has worked as a reporter for newspapers, online media, and television in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, and across Europe, and been published in over 200 publications in English, French, and Spanish. He worked as a news producer at Fox 29 in Philadelphia before turning to print and online journalism.
 
After moving to Europe in 2013, Yaël became the European director of Students For Liberty, training hundreds of pro-liberty student leaders, organizing conferences, and providing mentorship, and moved on to fundraise and provide leadership for the organization worldwide.
 
He is also deputy director of the Consumer Choice Center, and hosts Consumer Choice Radio on The Big Talker 106.7 FM in Wilmington, NC.
 
Yaël received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Concordia University in Montréal, and a master’s degree in philosophy, politics, economics from CEVRO Institute in Prague, Czech Republic.
 
Yaël lives with his wife and daughter in Vienna.
