Can Gov. Rendell Pay State Workers?
KDKA TV has a story about how legislative staffers are being paid during the Pennsylvania budget impasse, with the angle that it is unfair to other state workers (who are not being paid), and bashing lawmakers for choosing to pay their staff.
But Sen. John Eichelberger thinks the blame should be shifted to Gov. Rendell, alleging that the Gov. could (and should) choose to pay state workers under his control.
