Georgia Charter School Success

Our sister think tank, Georgia Public Policy Foundation, highlights the success that charter schools are enjoying in the state.

85% of the state’s 71 charter schools met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in 2006. In 2007, the charter high schools experienced a graduation rate of 90%, compared to an average 72% of public schools.

More and more states are experiencing these levels of achievement from charter schools since competition yields improvement.
