Cerberus’s three heads not speaking to each other

Rep. Babette Josephs, chairman of the House State Government Committee, and the Cerberus of the General Assembly is calling for a ban to bonuses – her ban. Obi-Wan Josephs is attempting to use a Jedi mind trick to make her colleagues forget she had already stymied such a bonus ban. The Force can have a strong influence on the weak-minded.

Only a few days ago Rep. Josephs decried John Eichelberger’s bonus ban bill – which passed the Senate unanimously last October – was flawed (even though there is an amendment to address the flaw). Instead, Rep. Joseph’s proposes starting a new bill effectively identical to Sen. Eichelberger’s legislation.

Why a new bill, rather than amend and pass an existing bill? Is it because Sen. Eichelberger called out Cerberus for not taking action? To delay and obfuscate? Or simply for personal glory?

Not since Napoleon took the crown from Pope Pius VII to crown himself Emperor has their been a greater display of megalomania.
