Rendell: “Let me spend your money, or face ‘total meltdown'”
Ed Rendell is up to his old demogoguery on his energy proposal. This time he claims he will reduce everyone’s energy costs, and there will be a or ‘total meltdown’ if he can’t spend $850 million dollars in the next three years. Basically, he wants to pay people to buy solar panels and energy efficient appliances (which will lowertheir electricity bills), and give handouts to his favorite companies.
This is another example of Rendell’s nanny-state mentality. No one need government to give them money (taken from all taxpayers) to encourage them to save money.
