“No Cardboard Checks”
One of my favorite sources for the inside scoop from the Capitol is Senator Eichelberger’s blog. In his latest post, he describes his refusal to participate in handing out giant cardboard checks funded by taxpayers, so much so that he boycotted a photo op ceremony like the 1972 Men’s Olympic Basketball Team.
I would like to see more legislators blogging and more refusing to celebrate themselves with cardboard checks – I am more optimistic of the former.
