What Taxpayers are buying Mark Cohen
Two Philadelphia Inquirer stories today highlight the use of tax money by Rep. Mark Cohen.
The first details how he billed 3 weekends in N.Y. to taxpayers to attend the Pennsylvania Society events.
The second discusses Cohen’s profligate reading habits. Cohen billed taxpayers $3,200 for books purchased in 2006, down substantially from the $28,000 in the prior two years. If he really reads that much, then why doesn’t he get a library card? Even Bill DeWeese pokes fun at Cohen’s expense(s), “Told that Cohen still spent nearly $3,200 in the last year, DeWeese said: “It is certainly a marked advancement toward a more conservative policy.””
