No more lawmaker graft?

Speaker O’Brien wants to end funding of members’ non-profits, the Post-Gazette reports. The opening line says it all: Legislators would no longer be able to quietly steer tax dollars to personally controlled non-profit corporations, under a package of reforms now before the state House.

Generally speaking, if there is something that the general public would be shocked and horrified to learn is presently legal, it is a good idea to reform that.
