Re: Hypocrisy of 'Conservation Voters'
Offering more evidence that CVPA's call for Tom Corbett to return campaign contributions was a partisan stunt, Anadarko also gave Sen. Arlen Specter $10,000 for his failed 2010 re-election effort, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. CVPA's Josh McNeil mentions (without noting the amount) in his press release a donation to Citizens for Arlen Specter, yet does not demand that that be returned. Why not? CRP reports that Specter had $5.8 million in cash on hand in his campaign account after the end of the first quarter this year. Undoubtedly that figure is much lower after the May primary, but certainly Specter still has plenty left.
Why so selective in your outrage, Josh? Don't you care about the integrity of Pennsylvania's representatives in Washington, too?
