Tom Corbett is Right on Unemployment

Ari,

89% of all Pennsylvanians take "non-union jobs"

And it is you who offers an entitlement mentality - the taxes paid (most of which is on the employer side) fund 26 weeks of unemployment benefits. The extension to 99 weeks is being paid with borrowed money - which will be paid with higher payroll taxes on employers, thus reducing the number of jobs available.

Have a heart.

Please explain how a small benefit that replaces a salary is an incentive not to work? Maybe everyone should just take poor paying, non - union jobs that offer nothing other than a salary that is close to the unemployment benefit itself?
People that have invested years of education (and the money to buy that education) should look at stocking the shelves of a dollar store, that pays less than the unemployment benefit they PAYED into? We PAY for unemployment insurance in our payroll taxes, yet you act as though it is some entitlement. You should be ashamed of yourself.
