Had Enough Skewed Polls from Gov. Rendell Yet?

Ask them to produce the list of local services stressed by Marcellus Shale activity. I was in Uniontown a couple of weeks ago and witnessed a fair amount of Marcellus Shale related activity. Local services were affected alright - hotel services, food services, etc. Folks I talked to were happy to have the shale guys in town. Maybe not a sophisticated poll designed by a highly trained manipulator but my gut tells me any local government experiencing an influx of shale related activity right now is not in favor of Spendell demonizing the companies that are bringing that economic activity to their local area.

Local government services are stressed when a generally depressed economy reduces their tax revenues and they try to sustain programs that they probably should never have implemented in the first place. The over spending that Ed Spendell and his ilk did leading up to and continuing throughout the recession until they could no longer sustain the lies they had been spinning about their inflated tax revenue projections has no doubt hurt local governments. At least any that had factored expected continued state largess and grants into their projections.

Same thing with the other two items… produce the list of damaged water supplies and destroyed local roads.
