Gov. Rendell Implies Attorneys Generals are Idiots

Rendell should certainly know about lawyers not worth their salt... he is one.

My guess is that the Pelosi, Reid, Obama gang have been advised that the ObamaCare abomination is unconstitutional but since they have such a high opinion of themselves and such a low opinion of We the People that, frankly Scarlet, they don't give a damn. One may suspect that this clearly unjustified opinion of themselves may be their undoing on this. If I had to go before the SCOTUS to defend this piece of crap, Eric Holder and his bunch of clueless lackeys are not the legal team I would select for the job. The good news is these folks think he's smart like them so he's their guy on this.

You have to hand it to them though. I had no idea where they would find someone worse than Janet Reno to be the AG of the US. But by golly they have found one.

At a minimum this is an attempt to stretch the Commerce clause well beyond the breaking point. The position of the House Judiciary Committee Chair Conyers in response to the question of how the individual mandate to buy health insurance is justified under the Constitution is as follows:

“Under several clauses, the good and welfare clause and a couple others. All the scholars, the constitutional scholars that I know -- I’m chairman of the Judiciary committee, as you know -- they all say that there’s nothing unconstitutional in this bill and if there were, I would have tried to correct it if I thought there were.”

Article is (text and video of him actually saying that) is at http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/63182

Since I had just read the Constitution two days ago, I figured I had better check again but can’t seem to find a “good and welfare’ clause in there. But then again these Representatives like John Conyers are very important and busy people so you can’t expect them to actually read the Constitution. After all it is more than one page.
