Tom Bako is a Senior Community Liaison for the Commonwealth Foundation for Public Policy Alternatives.
After finishing high school in Romania, where he was born and raised, Tom immigrated to the United States, his chosen homeland. He attended Towson University near Baltimore, Maryland, earning a Bachelor's degree in political science cum laude. During his college years, he actively volunteered with the Baltimore Urban Debate League and the Baltimore Catholic Forensic League, and competed on Towson's policy debate team. Before joining the Commonwealth Foundation in 2013, he coordinated research and internship programs for the American Council of Trustees and Alumni and its WhatWillTheyLearn.com project in Washington, D.C.
Along with some research and writing, Tom spends most of his time building enduring relationships with current and potential investors of the Commonwealth Foundation in the greater Philadelphia area. He and his wife Victoria reside in Parkesburg with their son Thomas.
